12/26/16: "Trophy Room" at the University of Mary Washington wrapped up in fine fashion. The students helped me pulp the install to make new paper which we used to print a new edition on. The University also published this article about the installation. Thanks to all the students who helped out!
10/20/16: Wow its been too long, but I've been hard at work! Preparing work for a solo exhibition at the University of Mary Washington opening next week. Also if you happen to be in the UK this year you might be able to check out my work at one of the venues hosting the Leicester Print Workshop's Mini Print International. I'll also be presenting new work at the Leicester Print Workshop next summer with Danielle Creenaune.
11/15/15: Blueprints are up at the University of Northern Iowa, thanks to Tim Dooley. The work "Pink Stack" is available at Transformer's annual auction, and prints from their flat file will be shown at Capitol Fringe. "Commedia": New Prints 2015 Autumn opens this month at the International Print Center in New York and has three works from the "Unfinished Sculptures" series, and PRINTWORK 2015, will open in December at AIR in Pittsburgh which will also feature three works from "Unfinished Sculptures".
10/1/15: Had a great trip! First a visit to Middle Tennessee State University where I gave an artist talk, made a print with the help of some great students, and did a critique with advanced print students. Thanks to Nick Satinover for the invitation. From TN it was a quick trip to give an artist talk to close out my exhibition "The Plan" at the University of Alabama Huntsville, thanks to Katie Baldwin for organizing.
2/21/15: All I do is frame, build boxes, and print shipping labels. Happy to report that new works from the Blueprint series are headed to the Masur Museum, Bradley University, Notre Dame of Maryland University, and the University of Hartford. So much bubble wrap. UPDATE: happy to report that I received a juror's circle award from juror Sandra Firmin, Director and Chief Curator at the Colorado University Art Museum.
2/21/15: New prints added under Work--> Prints. A continuation of a project started in the Fall of 2014 during a visit to the University of Georgia, these works are a new direction, blueprints for the larger installations I have been making. They are made by pressure printing laser cut chipboard, and they actually made using many of the same digital drawings used to laser cut the prints seen in the site-specific installations.
1/31/15: A nice shout out from Amy Pleasant on her Fuel and Lumber TravelLog. Amy was a visiting artist at Auburn this semester, she came into the print studio as a guest to make some new work. She is totally gracious and was thrilled to experiment in the studio. The student newspaper picked up the story.
7/8/14: Very thoughtful piece about my show After Party at 1708 Gallery by Paloma Barhaugh-Bordas
